I started drawing at eight years of age. At the time, my teachers told
my parents I was gifted in art and stressed that I pursue a career and
education in art. While my career has taken a different path, I have
never lost my love of creating art.
I have always loved the play of shadow and light that helps mold the
object on canvas or paper. Creating art gives me a freedom that cannot
compare to anything else, especially when working on a commissioned
piece. The pleasure I receive when I am greeted with hugs or praise
when presenting my piece to my clients is immeasurable.
My primary mediums are pastel, oils, and silverpoint. I am a member of the Pastel Society of Colorado and The Pastel Society of America and have commissioned artwork and portraits for businesses and private collections
